Prologue:
Zane, at only 6 years old, he suffered a near death experience.
He was walking around the Safari-Zone, in he's home town of Fuschia City.
He always trodded along carefully, trying not to sink into the almost marshy pits.
Then, Zane heard a roar.
A large, Dinosaur-like creature arose.
'K-K-Kangaskhan!' Zane yelled as he ran.
The Kangaskhan gave chase. It caught up to him.
The Kangaskhan then proceeded to attack, using Mega Punch.
Zane was hit square in the middle of the chest.
He had 6 broken ribs and he's spinal cord was ruptured. It was not enough to cause paralysis in body parts.
Since the incident, Zane has had a hard time around Normal type Pokemon.
The Beginning:
Zane, now aged 14, was taking a plane to Pallet Town, to meet Professor Oak, to start he's journey.
And to see he's friend, Kristen, who was also starting her journey.
Kristen lived in Fuschia City, until 3 years ago.
Zane had not seen her since.
The plane came in for a landing, and landed just outside town.
'Maybe she forgot about me.' he thought to himself, as he hopped off.
He walked up to a rather large building, presumably the Lab.
He walked through the doors, and up to the Professor.
'Hello Zane!' said the Professor, knowing that Zane had been coming to town.
'Hey Professor.' replied Zane.
'Well, choose you Pokemon!' said the Professor.
'Way to jump to the point, Professor!' thought Zane.
Zane had a choice between three Pokemon.
Charmander, The Fire Type.
Bulbasaur, The Grass Type.
And Squirtle, The Water Type.
Zane thought about it for a while, and finally chose Squirtle.
'OK!' he thought, 'Kristen can't have the best one now!'
Just then, a girl walked through the door.
She walked up to the Professor and chose her Pokemon.
She chose Charmander.
She then took a Pokedex, and left, not even a word.
Zane just walked up to the table, and got a Pokedex.
'Was that Kristen?' asked Zane.
'Yes it was, she must have been shy not seeing you in so long.' answered The Professor.
'Yeah, that must be it.' replied Zane, as he walked out of the lab to start he's journey.
